featured

my first feature. And I quote, "Seattle designer Tyesha Snow has a whole line of sassy little neck sweaters and scarves that give new life to old sweaters. Its full on sustainable style."

so exciting.

you know, i make decisions everyday that add up to being an environmentally conscious, sustainability minded citizen of this world, but i never really thought about the sustainable nature of my sweater recycling. i guess it just comes natural:)

check out the Sustainable Style Foundation. i really love thier mission "SSF's mission is to educate, support and inspire people from all walks of life to make more sustainable personal lifestyle choices at work, at home and at play."

thank you for the write up sean!

finally the pillow (and a little shirt)

i actually finished this a couple days after my last post but it took me this long to take a picture. geeze. anyway here it is and I really like it. i am going to post it on etsy and see if there is a market for cool pillows like this.

i also just made my first shirt last night. the body is a great jersey material that is so comfortable and the design really flatters the body (picture of me in it will be coming) i'm going to make a couple for some ladies i know to try out the pattern on other bodies. it's so exciting to be moving into fashion, my head is full of ideas.

a fall day in winter

i've been trying to get my flickr updated and in the process came across this series of photos from a lovely fall day in seattle this past november. being that it is winter these look so wonderful. the artsy ones were taken by hubby love.

fancy baby

i don't have a baby (yet) but man the stuff available to dress up your little one is almost enough to drive a fashion loving girl straight down the baby path.

i bought these last week. they were just too cute to pass up and my "someday baby" will really look great in them.

i haven't bought these but i sure will when i need to. can't you just see the little butt crawling down the hall away from you in these. so freak'n cute.

pillow time

i've been a busy maker of things this past week or so. this weekend i made six scarfs (most are already up on etsy) last night i decided to take a break from scarfs and make a pillow. this was a bit of a tedious task but i just worked away while watching project runway all evening (victorya went home. can i get a "Hell Ya!" If Kit had to go she totally did. And how can you not even smile when you win a challenge?) and actually finished the embellishments. tonight i hope to finish it up and i will post the results. so here are some photos of the process. looks like a great way to spend and evening right?

weetzie and hubby did some studying while i worked. isn't she lovely.

more for your neck

oh, man. i' ve been sick. again. i haven't had a voice for 4 days but that did stop me from singing a lot of karaoke at our awesome zaaz christmas party. man, my co-workers know how to throw-it-down.

so i am feeling a bit behind with christmas. which is a bummer because i love all the little details of the holiday but my head is so foggy it is hard to do them. i am planning a very lovely christmas dinner, i'm almost done with the menu and I will share when i am.

i did get some more scarves up on etsy! i'm having so much fun with these. check them out.

thank you to my beautiful model Aileen

new baby

dear dear fenix was born this week. his parents are our adopted brother and sister. he was very early and is less than 5 pounds but oh so strong and oh so sweet. i held him for the first time last night and i could tell he already loves me:)

we had a baby shower for his parents last month (so glad we did it so early) The party turned out beautifully. lauren and i made all the decorations, made up the games and fun was had by all.
