Man! i'm so bummed i can't make this event but maybe you can.

Punch is an awesome collective of artist from Eastern Washington. i've had the pleasure of seeing a few of their shows and meeting some of the fun creative people involved.

the designers mix tape

the designers mix tape

i just found this site via sfgirlbybay (thanks!) the site posts play lists from designers all over the world. what a wonderful concept. music can often be a big part of the creative process. maybe if i listen closely, some of these designers' style and creativity will wear off on me. i also always really appreciate a new avenue for finding new music.

july wedding

one of my best friends in the world was married last weekend. it was wonderful. it took place in Portland, in her aunt and uncle's "back yard". take a look at a few shots i took.

our dear friend jenny designed all the flowers. they all came from her grandmothers garden in gates,or. isn't that lovely.

the style was "simple country". i it think the settings came out lovely. we hung handmade tags on the mason jars and had the guests write their names on them. this made for festive visuals (everyone holding the pink tagged glasses) and the earth loved the lack of paper and plastic cups.

many of the vintage lace table cloths were from my wedding. it was nice to see them again. it took me a year to gather them all from thrift stores.

check out the amazing dress. yes, those are feathers. she had it made at a gown shop her in seattle cicada. cicada is fast become a tradition. both me and my good friend theresa had our dresses made here too. i'll do a post about them at a later date.

i wish you could see the groom's flip flops. i love it when a groom adds his own style.

food for the bride. always remember to make a plate for the bride and groom or they may never eat.

i told rudi that if he was good. he could get a photo with the bride.

my hubby hugging the bride.

the father of the bride and the groom made this shelter together in preparation for the wedding. isn't it wonderful?

baby worm

i picked up this strange ceramic piece. it's obvious that is for a baby room but it is strange? what do you think? would it be creepy to a little kid? i might just keep it and put a plant in it. it has a hole behind the worm.

it was kinda fun to take pictures of.

the past couple weeks i've found some amazing items at my local goodwill. i've been looking for light airy items. mostly kitchen or entertaining things.

~~i can't wait to host a birthday party, high tea or wedding shower with these beauties.

~~~the little bowls are perfect for any type of desert.
~~~i'm not usually a gold person but something about the little roses and the shin of the edges made me happy

~~i found this platter on a different day. i think it goes nicely with the set above without matching too much. i like to mismatch vintage items.

~~now this is the gem! i can't wait to bake a cake. for now i'm going to put fruit on in and place it on my kitchen table
